Do you really think that satellites can see under the sea? Also if it is Atlantis, shouldn't the masons have had it erased from google earth long before the map ever even came close to being made public? Duh-roool...

You do know that Google has plenty of Easter eggs like that and they're just fucking with you right?

First, it's not possible for a real Atlantis to be that far underwater. That is a far larger area than even Plato would have imagined this citystate to cover. That being a sunken city doesn't even make sense.
Second, everything Plato wrote that he didn't steal from Socrates was fiction. He wrote a fictional story where some guy was told the story of Atlantis. Saying you believe in Atlantis is some guy finding a copy of Harry Potter two thousand years from now and trying to find the remains of Hogwarts and a scientific explanation for magic broomsticks. No one in antiquity believed in Atlantis, it's a work of fiction that at most is based on less interesting stories, possibly of just a small island sinking into the sea through tectonic activity, not some advanced city. Learn something about the origin of the myth.

That would have been one heck of a 'city' state, man. Look at the Canary Islands to the sout-east of it: the thing is as big as Tenerife and La Gomera put together!

Also, it seems to be lying at the very bottom ot the ocean... How could that piece of land ever have been above sea level? I'm not an expert on plate techtonics, but it doesn't seem likely. I would like to hear a geologist about this, though.
